HRRMC Foundation to host bake sale on April 2, and registration opens for annual Cancer Walk
SALIDA, Colo.— Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (HRRMC) Foundation is pleased to announce the Cancer Walk bake sale, taking place on Wednesday, April 2 from 7:30 a.m. until sold out in the Café on HRRMC’s main campus, 1000 Rush Drive in Salida.
The bake sale is open to the public, and will include a variety of sweet and savory items, including gluten-free, dairy-free and nut-free options, as well as larger baked items up for auction. All proceeds from the bake sale will go towards funds raised during the Cancer Walk for local oncology patients.
Registration for the Cancer Walk will also open on the date of the bake sale, in-person at the bake sale itself, and online at hrrmc.com/cancerwalk. Registration is $35 per person, and free for cancer survivors.
The Cancer Walk will take place on Saturday, May 3, at the main entrance of the hospital. Day-of registration and informational booths will open at 8 a.m. Speeches from local cancer survivors will begin at 8:30 a.m., with the walk officially starting at 9 a.m. Leashed pets are welcome to join the walk.
For those who cannot attend event the in-person, or wish to walk independently, they may do so anytime leading up to the community event on May 3rd.
