HRRMC to host artist reception Dec. 11 at Salida SteamPlant
SALIDA, Colo.— Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (HRRMC) will host a public artist reception on Wednesday, Dec. 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Salida SteamPlant Event Center.
The reception will feature four local and regional artists who exhibited their work in the hospital’s rotating art exhibit in 2024. Photographer Robert Dimmitt of Buena Vista; printmaker Ramona Lapsley of Manitou Springs; botanical illustrator Wendy Wibbens of Buena Vista; and mixed media artist Conrad Nelson of Buena Vista, will bring examples of their work to the reception for public viewing.
The reception will be catered by Kalamata Pit Catering. There will be a cash bar, and non-alcoholic drinks will be available free of charge.
The hospital displays the work of regional artists as part of its mission to create a healing environment. 25 percent of the proceeds from art sales is donated to the HRRMC Foundation.
