First Baby of 2024 Arrives: Paloma Louise Buchholz
SALIDA, Colo.— Paloma Louise Buchholz was born at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center’s (HRRMC) Family Birthing Center in Salida on January 2, 2024, at 2:01 a.m. She weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces and measured 21 inches long. Paloma was the first baby born in 2024 at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center.
Paloma’s parents are Brittany and Justin Buchholz of Salida.
Paloma has one brother, Lennox, 2.
Grandparents are Shelly and Bill Wright of Bradenton, FL and Kathy and Don Buchholz of Ozark, MO.
Great-grandparents are June Feeney of Bradenton, FL and Michael and Phyllis Feeney of Channahon, IL.
The HRRMC Family Birthing Center gathered a gift basket for the family that included items from local businesses. Those businesses include Boathouse, Coffee by Topo, Drift and Amble, HRRMC Gift Shop, Kaleidoscope Toys, Las Camelinas, Little Red Tricycle, Lotic Salon (Emily Rishavy), Mixing Bowl, Moonlight Pizza, Natural Grocers, Pizza Rio, Salida Books, Colorado Wool Company (Sage Ryen) and Vital Living Herbs and Nutrition.
