SALIDA, Colo.—Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center Auxiliary is proud to announce their 2021 scholarship has been awarded to Raley Patch of Salida. This scholarship awards an annual amount of $1,000 for four recurring years, subject to a renewal process each year.
Patch, a senior at Salida High School, will attend Colorado State University this fall and pursue a major in biochemistry with a pre-pharmacy concentration. She has always had a strong interest in biology and chemistry and looks forward to combining these interests into a pharmaceutical research career.
Prerequisites for the scholarship include interest in pursuing a career in the healthcare field and a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher. The applicant must also be a senior attending a high school in Buena Vista, Cotopaxi or Salida and a resident of the Salida Hospital District.
HRRMC Auxiliary is a group of dedicated volunteers that support the hospital in providing services and medical equipment. They also operate the HRRMC Gift Shop. Anyone interested in becoming a member of HRRMC Auxiliary may contact the HRRMC Foundation office by calling (719) 530-2218.
