Heart of the Rockies Home Health and Hospice (HRHHH) recently received a five-star patient care rating through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Home Health Compare. The star rating is based on performance measures that evaluate patients' experience with home health agencies and compare them to state and national averages. Five stars is the top ranking.
"We are very excited about achieving a five-star rating," stated Devyn Kindall, RN, intake coordinator at Heart of the Rockies Home Health and Hospice. "Our performance on this report reflects our commitment to providing compassionate and quality home healthcare to residents across Chaffee and Freemont Counties."\
CMS introduced Home Health Care Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HHCAHPS) Survey star rating in January 2016. CMS Home Health Compare, www.medicare.gov, is a public information website that provides information on how well Medicare-certified agencies provide care to their patients. The new rating system is the latest example of how CMS is committed to transparency and helping patients and their family members make informed health care decisions.
