About Jessica
Dr. Parr was raised in Connecticut and moved to Colorado after receiving a scholarship to attend Colorado College in Colorado Springs. She graduated with honors from the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where she was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Colorado, where she was elected into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She is completing a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at the University of Colorado, training at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Denver Health and the Denver VA.
She was active in research and published studies in multiple peer-reviewed journals. During her fellowship, she completed additional training in nuclear cardiology, invasive echocardiography and cardiac CT imaging.
In her free time, Dr. Parr enjoys fly fishing, rafting, backpacking and skiing. She was a fly fishing guide before completing medical school and helped establish Lillard Fly Fishing Expeditions, a conservation, service learning and wilderness fly fishing camp for teens. The first fishing trip she guided in 2010 was in the backcountry in Chaffee County, and she is happy to return to serve the county and surrounding communities as a cardiologist.
